YOUTH FITNESS

“Childhood obesity has more than tripled in the past 30 years.” With many fun physical fitness youth development activities to choose from, the two Abilene YMCA Family Centers are the places for youth to develop into healthy young adults.  Plus, Youth Sports are free with membership!!    (*Jersey fee may apply)

 

Youth Sports offer another way for us to help build your child’s muscles while building character. In Y sports, there are no tryouts, and every child plays at least half of every game. We emphasize learning teamwork and sportsmanship while improving coordination, building strength and endurance and having fun.

 

KIDZFIT teaches youth and teens (ages 5-12 yrs) how to work out safely and effectively within the fitness center. It introduces basic muscle anatomy, exercise concepts and guidelines, and gym etiquette/safety practices.
